Turkey River Recreational Corridor

The communities of Clermont, Elgin and Elkader in Fayette and Clayton Counties are linked by the special, scenic beauty of the Turkey River Corridor. The corridor communities share a common mission to develop and enhance the existing natural resource base of the Turkey River Corridor through the creation of land and water trails infrastructure.

Committee Meetings

The Turkey River Recreational Corridor Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month. The Committee is made up of  10 members who represent Fayette County Conservation and Economic Development, Clayton County Conservation and Economic Development, Fayette and Clayton County Supervisors, and a community representative from Clermont, Elgin, Elkader and Motor Mill.
