Cultivate Great Ideas

We believe that rural Iowa, its small communities, its landscape, and its landowners deserve quality technical support, eloquent and informed advocacy at every level, and professionals that can tailor their approach, think creatively, and build diverse partnerships when addressing local and regional challenges and opportunities. Our work is better and more successful when the connections we make are meaningful, when efforts are done well, and when we genuinely seek out and listen to stakeholders and partners who have great ideas. As a result, the majority of our projects are informed by our citizen and community partners. We invite them to participate as individuals, or collectively as partners, boards, associations, coalitions or alliances. Some of them prefer to form official organizations, others choose to remain informal partners. We encourage them to call us, email us, and provide input through meetings, surveys and facilitated discussion. We include community members in every phase of our projects, from research and planning to implementation. The success of our projects is fostered by the collective thinking that occurs when citizens and leaders are engaged and respected. Together with our partners, we develop plans with purpose and implement projects grounded in diverse support. We invite you to be a part of our work and Northeast Iowa’s future.
