Trout Streams of Winneshiek County – Map and Fishing Guide

$5.00

An Anglers Companion to the Public Streams & Rivers of Winneshiek County.

This pocket-sized guide provides a wealth of information about Winneshiek County’s 19 spring-fed creeks that comprise over 32 miles of fishable water. Thirteen detailed stream maps and descriptions guide you to not only the most accessible trout stream in Iowa, but also the only stream known to have a remnant population of Iowa’s native Brook Trout.

The publication addresses common misconceptions and provides valuable information about Iowa’s fishing regulations, stream classifications and laws pertaining to public and private land fishing. Information about guide services, trout stocking and common fly hatches are featured in the guide.

Funded through the Winneshiek County Community Foundation and the Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Developed by the team of anglers at Northeast Iowa RC&D.

The guide is also available for download in PDF format or for pick up at no-charge from several Northeast Iowa locations.
